About the Events
Here's what to expect from the big moments of the weekend.
📊 SmartyPants PowerPoint Party — 3 PM Sunday
Inspired by Dropout's SmartyPants ↗. Pick any topic — the weirder the better — and make a PowerPoint that teaches the group something real. 5–10 slides. Everyone participates. Bring your deck on your own laptop or device by 3 PM Sunday.
Sweet Niblets! Someone stole the wig. Hannah plays the all-knowing oracle (Hannah Montana herself). Everyone else is assigned a character and has a secret. Come dressed for the part. The game runs ~2 hours with 4 rounds. Everyone brings one appetizer, side, or dessert to pass around — sign up on the packing page! Hannah is making the main dishes. Culprit must perform 30 seconds of their best Hannah Montana concert impression.
🚤 Boat Day — BYOB!
This is a BYOB situation. Hannah will have some snacks and drinks, but please bring your own drinks and snacks to share. Pack a small personal cooler or soft bag. Sign up to bring specific boat items on the sign-up page. Boat is booked through Whitney Ridge Resort · 167 County Rd 1710, Clifton TX · (254) 804-3189. We leave at 10:30 sharp — pack your boat bag the night before.
🌿 Sunday Optionals
Juniper Cove Winery — in Whitney, open noon–4 PM Sunday · tastings, games, great vibe

Lake Whitney State Park — 17 min away · hiking, birdwatching, fishing
White Bluff Golf Course — 10 min away · lake views, two courses
Crafts at the house — beaded jewelry, button crafts, sewing projects (no paint or tie-dye per house rules)
From Farm Rd 933, turn west at Dee's Express fuel onto 2604. Follow it down — watch for a big pothole just past the church on the right. Continue all the way to Lake Shore Trail and turn LEFT. Keep going (yes, you're going the right way — it will feel wrong). Go down the hill and you'll see Lee Street — turn RIGHT into the cul-de-sac. We're the house at the end that looks like a garage with a carport.
Parking: Driveway or under the carport. Keep vehicles between the line and the house — do NOT block the neighbor's drive. No parking on the grass or in the garage.
Entry: Two gates, one on each side of the house. Follow the sidewalk to the breezeway. Glass door = main house · Solid door = bunkhouse.

MILEY STEWART is throwing herself a top-secret 30th birthday party at her Malibu lake house. Just close friends, just a regular night — or so everyone thinks. What most guests don't know is that Miley is secretly HANNAH MONTANA, pop superstar, who has a sold-out comeback concert tomorrow night. Only Lilly knows the truth.
The wig — Hannah's whole identity — was at the party earlier. And now it's gone. Without it, there is no Hannah Montana. Without Hannah Montana, there is no concert. Someone in this room snatched it.
👑 The Birthday Girl's Special Role
The birthday girl plays Miley — just a regular girl having a normal birthday party, absolutely not a famous pop star. She does NOT get a suspect card. She knows the truth about the wig but must stay in character: she can only respond by gasping dramatically, saying "Sweet niblets!", nervously changing the subject, or insisting "I'm just a regular girl." She is the final judge and crowns the winner with the wig (if found) or a tiara.
🏆 How to Win
After 4 rounds of investigation, everyone writes their accusation on a verdict slip: WHO snatched the wig, WHERE they hid it, and WHY. Twist: also accuse a second suspect of a cover-up. Slips are read aloud with full dramatic performance. The culprit must perform 30 seconds of their best Hannah Montana concert impression for the group.
⚡ Chaos Rules
The Wig Immunity: Once per game anyone can yell "The wig stays on!" and refuse one question — first person to use it claims it, one use total.
The Robby Ray Rule: At any point Hannah can point at someone and say "I raised you better than this" — that person must immediately confess one of their two secrets in character. They choose which.
Nobody's Perfect: Once per game, any player can yell "Nobody's perfect!" to interrupt any answer mid-sentence. The speaker must stop and cannot return to what they were saying.
Your character card will be handed to you before the game
Each character has two secrets. Guard them both. The Robby Ray Rule can force you to reveal one — choose carefully which one you give up. Do not share your secrets with other players until the final round.
Round 1 · 10 min — Get the Party Started
Everyone reads their character card privately, then introduces themselves in character — name, connection to Hannah/Miley, and where they were when the lights went out. Make it dramatic. Make it suspicious. The worse your Southern accent, the better. Hannah reacts with maximum drama and exactly one "Sweet niblets."
Harder mode — the host reads three misleading witness rumors after introductions to kick things off.
Round 2 · 15 min — The Malibu Mixer
Everyone mingles and interrogates each other in character. You may lie, deflect, and deny freely.
The Alibi Wall: Each player states their alibi to the full group, but may add one false detail. Other players can challenge by pointing and saying "I don't buy it" — the accused must elaborate without breaking character.
At the end of Round 2, the host reveals Clues 1–3.
Round 3 · 10 min — The Hot Seat
Group votes to put ONE suspect in the hot seat. They answer 5 rapid-fire questions in character — must respond within 5 seconds or take a sip. The group may vote someone in a second time if new evidence emerges.
After the hot seat, the host reveals Clues 4–6. Alliances and betrayals are now encouraged.
Round 4 · Final — The Accusation
Everyone writes their verdict: WHO snatched the wig, WHERE they hid it, WHY — plus a second suspect for the cover-up. Slips read aloud with full dramatic flair. Host reveals Clues 7–9 and announces the true wig-snatcher. Hannah crowns the winner. Culprit performs their concert impression.
